Álvaro Parrilla Álvarez (*1983) is a screenwriter, writer and director with a passion for music, film and literature. He studied Audiovisual Communication at the University of Seville, where he shot and wrote his first short films. He came to Germany in 2014 to work on his short film Goldfish and completed a degree in screenwriting and directing at the Academy of Audiovisual Arts in Cologne. He then made the short films Interkosmos (2020) and Viereinundfünfzig (2022). In 2022 he participated in the residency Stadt-Land-Text in the Niederrhein region.
